Hi, welcome to Busy Bunnies. I am Susan and have been successfully childminding for many years now after many years of working in Day Nurseries. I have two children at school, Oliver aged nine and Jake eleven. We live with their dad ( my husband) Matthew, who works as an IT Engineer, he is also registered as an assistant childminder.

We have a horse, Carmen, who we keep in the village. we now have a cocker spaniel called Guinness.

Why Choose Busy Bunnies?

As parents ourselves we know how hard it can be to choose a childcare provider that is right for you, and then leave your children in their care. For all new parents we offer free ‘settling in sessions’ for you to come and stay with your child to
see if we are right for you, and free settling in sessions for you to leave your child for a couple of hours to help make the transition easier for both the parents and the children.

All children are individual and will develop at their own pace in their own way and choosing the right learning environment for your child will help do this.  Some parents prefer a nursery environment for their child as they prefer the larger settings and would like them to  socialize and make friends and think this is the best way to do this, other parents prefer to give their children more individual care so choose a childminder. All Early Years providers follow the same framework for providing a learning environment for children weather a childminder, pre-school or nursery, its down to parents preference on which provider they choose.

Here at busy bunnies we aim to give your child the individual care and attention they need, (due to lower ratios for childminders) but children will also benefit from a stimulating social environment as well as I am part of a small local network of childminders and will also take children to toddler groups and other group activities.
